Walls of Shelves: Love this Look?

Dressing up a bare wall with a large shelving unit can totally change the decor of a room – in a good way, of course! Not only does it enhance the open wall, but it provides endless decor options. You can fill with it colorful books of all shapes and sizes, souvenirs from your travels, family portraits, drawings and sculptures made by your children. To take a few tips from the images above, you can put storage boxes – to have storage within storage, arrange canvas paintings, display collectibles, typography and to store your record collection. As far as installation goes, you can install a built-in shelving system or just place a free-standing unit against the wall.

Product Pick: Sirchester Collection

It’s that time of year to start preparing [and dreaming of] outdoor spaces. An outdoor sofa set is one of my biggest dreams, and this may be one of the best I’ve seen – because it lights up!! The Sirchester Collection is made of the Poltrona [chair] and the Divano [sofa]. Both are suitable for indoor and outdoor use, and are available in a wide variety of colors. The light effect happens from an RGB light system within each modern sofa and armchair.

Vaulted Ceilings: Would You Rather?

Lately all I want in my home is vaulted ceilings. I’ve been stalking homes for sale and will only keep scrolling through the pictures if I see either a kitchen or a bedroom with high, vaulted ceilings. It really makes such a difference in a room when the ceilings are higher than normal – and there are so many different styles you can implement – with lighting and paint colors and molding. And skylights to add even more light and openness.

Oscar Faves

Did you watch the Oscars last night? I had them on in the background while doing other things, but lately I’ve enjoyed hunkering down in the living room and watching the different awards shows that have been on. It’s always fun to see what the different celebrities are wearing, and wondering what many of them were thinking! I also like to watch them in their seats to see if they’re actually paying attention or who they go to when they win

Ghost Chairs: Love This Look?

The Ghost Chair can be a pretty ubiquitous item, but that doesn’t really bother me. When I think about it, the places I see it the most are online, and not as much in person. [Maybe I'm not getting out enough!] What I love most about the Ghost Chair is it’s versatility.

Recipe Radar: Kale Chips

I’ve really, really, really been trying to be good and healthy when it comes to eating. I was doing so well without carbs until they sucked me back in again. Pizza, pasta, semolina rolls, bagels – why are you so good yet so bad? Anyway, I’m back on the no-carb wagon, so I’m searching for different ways to curb my cravings.
