The Day After

Someone told me yesterday that an estimated 17 million people will call out sick today – the day after the Super Bowl. I wish I could have been one of those 17 million – were you one of them? After all that food and betting and drinking, I would have loved to take another day off! Instead, I’m working the day away, dreaming of lounging with my feet up on a comfy leather sofa, like the one above from ScS . Although, if I were that girl, I’d be in sweats, not looking as cute, covered in a blanket, snacking on some Doritos

Recipe Radar: Truffle Potato Chips with Blue Cheese Sauce

Over the weekend, I spent a night in Atlantic City and had dinner at Wolfgang Puck’s restaurant at The Borgata. Every time I eat there, whether I’m with blue cheese lovers or not, I have to order their truffled potato chips. I think I mentioned that I’m currently on the Dukan Diet, which means no potato chips for me – but I decided ahead of time that I was going to cheat on the diet with these chips.

Product Pick: Su-Pen

This week’s product pick is a little different from the modern furniture I am typically coveting and is something that I’ve actually been using for a couple of weeks now. The kind folks over at Su-Pen sent me an email asking if I’d be interesting in testing out their stylus for tablets, phones, etc. and since I was just about to purchase a new iPad, I thought why not?! I’ve had an iPad since the original, and an iPhone for several years, but I never imagined the need for a stylus

Oversized Drum Pendants: Love This Look?

Over the weekend, I was at a restaurant with gigantic drum pendants and I absolutely fell in love. I have a fairly large drum light in my kitchen as it is, but this one was so big and bold I couldn’t stop staring at it. The drum lights above are large, but not as large as the ones that I saw over the weekend. I guess that makes sense though, because something that is large enough for a commercial space may not necessarily work as well in a residential location

Creamy Goodness

I know it sounds as if I’m describing food, but really, I’m describing this beautiful ivory bedding. It’s fresh, white, and inviting – similar to the creamy goodness of a tub of vanilla ice cream! The lovely ivory white bedding you see above is made by Kylie , from smooth cotton percale. While I love the textures of the bedding, what I’m loving most is the monochromatic bedrooms that the bedding has been styled in. The modern bedding adds texture and accessorizes the bed, wallpaper, the nightstands – the entire room, really! Normally I would go for white over ivory, but this doesn’t look like there’s too vast of a difference

ACME furniture – over 25 years in business.

ACME furnitureOver 25 years ago, ACME furniture opened their first business in Los Angeles, California and has since been going strong.  Since their opening, ACME has expanded their retail locations to five other major cities throughout the United States, including Dallas, Atlanta, New York City, New Jersey, and Miami. Throughout their expansion they have stayed true to their belief in high quality furniture and service at a low price.

ACME prides itself in their ability to deliver products on time and reliably. A recently built 400,000 square foot warehouse in Los Angeles allows them the ability to ship out most orders in fewer than 2 days or less. Keeping over $12 million in inventory on hand at all times means that almost all of the products you order from them will be on hand and out the door in a timely manner. In the time it takes other companies to confirm the receipt of an order from a customer, ACME has already shipped their product out.

If fast service wasn’t enough, ACME also has some of the most competitive prices in the entire furniture industry. By maintaining relationships with numerous manufacturers worldwide for a number, ACME is able to ensure that all of their products are kept at a low cost.  These longstanding business relationships reaffirm ACME as a strong business that doesn’t plan on going anywhere soon.

As each product makes its way out of a factory and towards a showroom floor in the States, it must pass a rigorous quality control regiment. Every product that passes through an ACME factory is inspected to ensure the utmost in quality and reliability. Through trusted business relationships and relationships with clientele, ACME continues to expand their business throughout the country. In addition to factory locations in 5 of the largest cities in the country, ACME also has showrooms in 3 different cities. Their newest showroom in Las Vegas, Nevada is yet another testament to ACME’s dedication to expansion and bringing the best quality furniture to as many people as possible.
