Lunch: Bring or Buy?

Lately, I’ve been purchasing a salad similar to this one here at a local cafe by my office for $6 a day. I’ve been telling myself that it’s nice to support a local business, but then of course, I’m think “hello you’ve got to support yourself too!” Sometimes, after I cook dinner and clean up the kitchen, the last thing I want to do is make myself lunch. But on the other hand, really – how hard is it to throw a salad together in a tupperware

Would You Rather?: Bedroom Lighting

Today we’re talking bedroom lighting. There are plenty of ways to light up this room – but we’re only focusing on two. So if you had absolutely no other choices, which would you rather….pendant lamps hanging on each side of the bed or one large chandelier in the center of the room?

Super Bowl Sunday

Although we started with some Valentine’s Day inspiration yesterday and the ideas are flowing, they’ve got to be put on the back burner for some Super Bowl Sunday ideas, since it’s just a few days away. It’s kind of ironic when you think about it, if you stereotype the two events as one super-macho and one super-girly, that they’re so close to each other! Fine by me, especially if my guy wins a nice chunk of change in a Super Bowl pool, I better have a nice V-day gift coming my way! Anyway, I heard on the radio today that approximately 7 million people call out of work the Monday after Super Bowl. Can you imagine!?! I didn’t think it was that crazy of a day, but apparently so. Will you be doing anything special on Super Bowl Sunday?

Weekly Six: 2.3.12

TGIF! Any fun plans for the weekend? I’ll be tuning into the Super Bowl to watch the commercials and to see if I win any pools that I’m in – how about you?! As always, here are our weekly six links from the work week ending 2.3.12! 1) If you feel like taking a daydream vacation, check out these 15 unbelievable resorts on Freshome. 2) Speaking of the Super Bowl, did you know that Americans will eat more that 1.25 BILLION chicken wings on Sunday?

Six Different: Groundhog Day Cards

Happy Groundhog Day! As you probably have heard by now, Punxsutawney Phil saw this shadow this morning, signifying six more weeks of “winter.” I say “winter” because it’s been in the 60′s the past few days! How has it been where you live? I know it’s not an important – or realistic – holiday, but Groundhog Day fascinates me. I can’t get it to load right now – but I was looking at Groundhog.org earlier – and they have a Groundhog Club that had their annual Groundhog dinner last night. I think Phil was there
