March 13th 2014: Happy Pi Day!
Happy Pi Day – and no, I don’t mean that kind of pie! March 13th (3/14) of every year marks the commemoration of the mathematical constant Pi! Pi is the ratio of a circle’s circumference to its diameter. This is approximately 3.14159. Hence, it being celebrate of 03.14 of every year. Pi has been calculated to over one trillion digits beyond its decimal point. As an irrational and transcendental number, it will continue forever without repetition or pattern.
