Origami Stairs
via Dezeen Who knew that the ancient Japanese tradition of folding paper into origami would translate into folded stainless steel as a staircase? Meet the Origami Stairs, made out of stainless steel and shaped into triangular facets to create a flight of stairs. The 6 millimeter thick stainless steel is supported by a glass banister that provides the illusion of floating steps. Designed by Bell Phillips architects out of South London, the Origami Stairs were created for a client that needed to join two flats together.
